HOST | Dominic Holland
Multi-award winning, Dominic Holland has been a professional comedian for more years than he cares to recall.
With countless television and radio credits, including multiple appearances on ‘Have I Got News For You’ and ‘The Royal Variety Performance’, as well as ‘The News Quiz’, Dominic has written and performed four BBC Radio 4 series including ‘The Small World Of Dominic Holland’ which won a Comic Heritage Award.
A Perrier Best Newcomer and Award Nominee, Dominic has performed seven solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival and he continues to tour the UK and beyond with his unique take on life. Described by The Sunday Times as ‘the UK’s master of observational comedy ‘and by The Daily Telegraph as ‘a top notch stand-up who everyone should see.’
Despite Dominic’s best efforts and his considerable achievements in show business, the cruel reality is that he has been severely out-starred by his eldest son, Tom. Tom Holland is 22 and is better known as Peter Parker and even better known as Marvel’s Spider Man. Dominic accounts for his son’s meteoric and ‘overnight’ success as a fluke in his hilarious book, Eclipsed which is available in hard and digital formats.
Dominic has written for The Guardian, The Daily Mail, Mail-on-Sunday, The Independent, The Sun, Daily Mirror and a raft of trade journals.
He has written comedy material for household names like Sir David Frost, Bob Monkhouse, Harry Enfield and Lenny Henry. He has written key-note speeches for CEO’s and sports celebrities and he wrote two episodes of Warren for ITV, the UK’s very first fully animated sit-com.
